When we were approached by a renowned chef, social media personality, and cookbook author to help design her dream kitchen, we couldn’t say yes fast enough! Requirements for this project included an open floorplan, a baking station, tons and tons of storage, and bold colors.
This kitchen features walnut-stained slab perimeter cabinets with a bold cobalt blue island. An off-white True Residential refrigerator with gold hardware is both eye-catching and practical. The black windows are complimented by open shelving, the perfect place to display kitchenware. The backsplash is light blue and helps round out the color palette with the oversized bright pink pantry doors.
A taller section was added at the end of the island to help define the kitchen from the neighboring entryway and serve as the perfect spot to display her extensive collection of cookbooks. The lower island section was designed as a baking station, perfect for rolling dough, and topped with marble. Black and white stone tops the twelve-foot island, which serves as the ideal workshop for this talented client.
